Introducing Vanishing Act and the Homecoming VIP Bundle

Detective Kate returns in Vanishing Act!
We are excited to announce the next major update coming to Adventure Escape Mysteries! In our newest mystery, Vanishing Act, Kate and Murphy attend a magic show on a long-awaited date. What could possibly go wrong?

What is the VIP Bundle?
We are launching a new feature called the VIP Bundle along with Vanishing Act. The VIP Bundle includes three major benefits for players.

Early Access to the Game -Vanishing Act releases on December 20, 2023* for all players, but you will be able to play the game on November 29 if you purchase the VIP Bundle. In addition, all chapters are unlocked so you don’t have to wait for keys (a $4.99 value)!
Bonus Chapter - If you purchase the VIP Bundle, you get access to Homecoming, a special bonus chapter featuring Kate when she was in high school. All hints and skips are free in the bonus chapter!
30 Stars - You also get 30 stars (a $4.99 value) when you purchase the VIP Bundle.

How much does the VIP bundle cost?
The VIP bundle will cost $8.99. The Keys and Stars you get with the bundle are worth $9.99, so you can get the bonus chapter and early access for less than the cost of the keys and stars purchased separately! All the hints and skips are free in the bonus chapter so you’ll never be stuck for long.

Do I need to buy the VIP bundle to finish the story in Vanishing Act?
No, you do not. You can complete the main story in Vanishing Act by playing for free. The Homecoming bonus chapter in the VIP bundle is a separate story involving Kate's adventures in high school.

Will every future mystery have a VIP bundle?
We don’t know yet. There will be a VIP Bundle for Vanishing Act as well as our next mystery which will come out in early 2024. Whether or not we continue depends on how you, our players, react to them. Let us know what you think about the bundles and if we should keep doing them.

Why are you offering VIP content?
Our goal is to keep making Adventure Escape for years to come. Imagine if we could release a high quality Adventure Escape update every month instead of every 3-4 months like we do now. This is something many players have asked for.

To do that, we have to keep bringing on amazingly talented people and manage the rising costs of creating Adventure Escape. Our standards have constantly been going up–if you look at some of the art in Vanishing Act versus our first game, Pyramids of Giza, you can see the increase in quality.

Adventure Escape art has improved a lot over the years!

At the same time, we want to offer something that is valuable for players. We hope the combination of unique content, early access, and the included keys and stars will be exciting for our players.

I think this is a great idea. I’m fully open to paying some money for all the hard work put into the making of these games. I do however think that 8.99 is a bit too much. I’d much rather just have the game and bonus chapter for 4.99 than 8.99 with the extra stars and hints. Or maybe even just a small add on for the bonus chapter alone.

I like the concept of a VIP bundle.
I don't mind waiting on keys and the public release date, so the stars and keys cost isn't a big draw.
However, the bonus content, could be the big incentive to get the VIP bundle. It would be nice if it was more than one chapter, maybe 3.
I plan on getting the VIP bundle at least the first time. 😀

Will you ever be re-releasing Pyramids of Giza? I have seen it mentioned several places but it doesn’t seem to be available any longer, at least in the Apple universe.

Also, will the VIP pack be available even after the game is released fully? I ask because new folks who discover your games in the future may be interested in the bonus Kate Gray chapter and I know how frustrating it can be to know that there is additional playable content out there which can’t be accessed. 😊

Your games are high quality and so engaging to play. I’ve loved adventure games ever since the Scott Adams text adventures in the 1980s (yes, I’m approaching ancient!) and there have been few makers who have found a good balance between story line and puzzles, making everything feel natural to play. Yours are the only apps I’ve found which do this, and you do it so well. Thank you, and keep up the excellent work!

If this were our first Haiku game I’d likely be skeptical of the VIP bundle and the cost. If we had played one or two I’d likely consider it worth thinking about. Having played ALL of them…we can’t wait! Looking forward to the new game and excited to try the bundle, especially given the hours of fun we’ve already had playing Haiku games!

I would be happy to support your development, because the games are very fun and high quality. However, I find 9 dollars quite a lot if this paid for every new game, because to me the stars have zero value. So that would be 9 dollars for a single game only. I am not paying that much every time. 5 dollar per game would be more appropiate.

A huge …Huge fan of your games!! Haiku is unique in all their presentations and have the right level of difficulty in the puzzles to keep the player engrossed. A perfect mix of easy n difficult!!

Personally I don’t subscribe to having a paid VIP bundle with a bonus chapter (which will eventually not be available to anyone who doesn’t buy the bundle). I say this because a major part of Haikus success has been the fact that it’s been a free app.

However I assure you that I shall purchase the bundle as that is one small way for us (subscribers) to show our support to a gaming app which is so amazing… and maybe requires this support!!

I’ve just finished the vanishing act as well as homecoming. I don’t mind paying but I am concerned that should I have waited until December 20th to play I’d still have to pay 8.99 for just one chapter. Most of your players who will purchase have already beaten all other stories and have no need for stars. I’d consider dropping the price or making the VIP only part much longer to be worth that steep price. Otherwise I loved both stories. I’m not sure if I will pay next time just because the bonus wasn’t long enough for 8.99

I note that the homecoming series would only be available for the VIP customers. But is there a way that once the game releases in December for everyone, we can only purchase the homecoming series seperately at a lower cost?

I belong to the category of people who can wait till december rather than paying $8.99 now since it is a huge amount for something I can get access to for free after some time. However, would also like to support Haiku games for making such amazing fames by paying a lesser amount which is affordable for me for some additional levels!

Same question as above. How do I buy the bundle? It’s now 3rd December and still no option to buy. Please help.

Hello,
I am just curious if there are plans to transfer all classic games? Because I am waiting for so long to play asylum again. And Framed because they are no longer available in Google play because they were for previous version of Android.

I either found a bug or there is an issue with my iPad. I am in the chapter at the yacht club and entered the correct phone code but it’s not advancing. I used my stars for hints and the solution showed the same code or diagram I did. I have a screen shot I can send if you’re interested. But since it’s not registering the code, I’m stuck.

Will the Windows/Steam/Kindle version being released in a few weeks also be the VIP bundle? I'm excited to get the bundle, but I prefer to play on my PC. Thanks!

Initially I can find the vip bounde, than I’ve update the app and it’s appear.

12/2 and this is still not showing as available for update yet on Google play. These games are so engaging I want to give you my money but HOW??

I just want to say a huge thank you to the team at Haiku for churning out so many good quality games that are free! Of course I paid for the VIP bundle but it's such an affordable price still and great value for the exclusive chapter.
